About the CareerBrandVideos™ Team
In searching for video platforms and creators that focus on personal branding for job seekers, professionals and entrepreneurs, we came up nearly empty-handed.
Sure, there are video resumes for job seekers, but they have their own set of problems that make them a poor choice for most people.
And there are DIY video platforms, but those often look clunky and unprofessional, and require the user to have some knowledge and experience working with video.
And, of course, there are custom-made videos by professional video creators, but those often cost several thousand dollars for just one 30-45 second video.
We could see that another kind of video was needed. Video that was professionally-created (by us) but reasonably priced, without the inherent problems of video resumes, and that would work well for job search, career and small business.
We came together to create CareerBrandVideos™ an award-winning, customized Done-For-You video system, specifically designed for job seekers, professionals, career practitioners and other entrepreneurs for career-long personal branding.
Recognized experts in our fields of job search/career management and video marketing, each of the 3 of us brings a unique knowledge base backed by years of experience to the table:
Meg Guiseppi
The founder of ExecutiveCareerBrand.com, Meg has been a job search strategist and resume writer for more than 25 years. A leading voice on personal branding and LinkedIn, she was using personal branding in her writing before the world had a name for it. She helps job seekers differentiate their unique value to Land a GREAT-FIT New Gig!™.
Her subject matter expertise has been featured in Forbes, Huffington Post, Fast Company, Inc., Fortune, The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, and many other esteemed publications.
“Branding is a powerful way to differentiate and communicate the unique set of skills, strengths, personal attributes and drivers that make you valuable to your target employers or clients. This combination of assets makes you stand out over your competition.
Your brand is comprised of more than just hard skills (or subject matter expertise). ‘Soft’ skills (personal attributes or personality) play an equally important role. Give people a sense of the ‘real you’ and you’ll help them see how you can help them. Generating chemistry is an important part of the branding process. Don’t be afraid to let people in on your personality and the way you get things done.”
Hannah Morgan
The founder of CareerSherpa.net, Hannah is a nationally-recognized job search social media expert. She was named one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices on Careers and Job Search. Hannah was an early adopter of video for her own personal branding as an entrepreneur, and for job seekers.
She has been quoted by media outlets, including Forbes, USA Today, Money Magazine, Huffington Post, as well as many other publications. She is the author of The Infographic Resume and co-author of Social Networking for Business Success.
“Videos give people a better sense of who you are and reinforce your brand. Video puts a face with a name and helps people know you. Using video is one more way to get people to know, like and trust you. And they’ll remember your message better too!
Think about real estate today. When I see a ‘for sale’ sign in front of a house, I immediately go view it online. There, I can easily view the interior and get a much better idea of what that house is all about. We have come to expect to find video content to answer our questions and provide more information.
I frequently hear this statement, ‘If I could only get in front of the hiring manager, I know I could prove I’m qualified.’
Well, now you can! Even before they have an opening. Your video is available anytime, anywhere for people to get a feel for what you know and who you are.”
André Palko
The founder of Small Business Rainmaker™, André has been creating high-impact videos for small business owners for nearly 20 years, as well as for various entrepreneurial ventures of his own. In fact, he credits video with being instrumental in helping one of his businesses make it to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies.
“Video marketing is the personal (or business) use of video, in which a recording of moving visual images is made available on a website or social media, for the purpose of educating, entertaining, demonstrating, supporting, or endorsing a product, service or personal subject matter expertise.
Very often the easiest way to bring a concept to life is through video. Although a picture is worth a thousand words, sometimes video is needed to convey a thorough understanding. It’s the next best thing to being there in person.”
